Netherlands Dwarf Bunny Origin
Netherland dwarf’s origin had been widely accepted as a result of an accidental breeding of a Polish rabbit and small breed wild rabbit in the early 1900 in the Netherlands.
The breed was made popular by their small size, cute and cuddly bodies and fairly calm demeanor. The Netherlands Dwarf Rabbit was officially registered as a breed in 1969.
The Netherland has a soft, glossy coat that is lower in maintenance compared to many long-haired rabbit breeds. The coat comes in a wide variety of colors and patterns. Through generations of selective breeding, the modern Netherland Dwarf has become a gentle, friendly pet rabbit!
Jersey Wooly Bunny Origin
The Jersey Wooly Rabbit is a breed of domestic rabbit that was developed in the United States in the 1970s by breeder Bonnie Seeley of High Bridge, New Jersey. Seeley set out to create a small, docile rabbit with a soft, wool-like coat that would be suitable as a house pet. To achieve this, she crossed a Netherland Dwarf rabbit with a French Angora rabbit, and then selectively bred the offspring to produce a rabbit with the desired characteristics.
The breed was recognized by the American Rabbit Breeders Association (ARBA) in 1988 and has since become a popular pet rabbit breed around the world. Its small size, gentle disposition, and soft, easy-to-care-for wool coat make it a favorite among rabbit enthusiasts and pet owners alike.
