Hay is essential for little pets in cages to provide fibre, minerals, vitamins and roughage in their diet to aid digestion. It’s also comfortable bedding for them and a place for them to burrow and forage in cage flooring. Add a hay rack to keep it contained and they will remove some for bedding and keep some for eating. Hay also provides great chewing material to keep their incisor teeth trimmed, always make sure they have a stash in their cage.
